The repaired docs are in Guatemala...
Okay, so after spending a week and a half sitting on desks, Fedex got our docs back to Guatemala in less than 24 hours!!! Now they need to translate them and then we will be BACK in PGN!!! I am praying for a quick and positive "out" this time around! Onnolee gets cuter and prettier every month...

This is TORTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Santa Fe held on to our documents for a WEEK before they even sent them to Phoenix...AAAARRRRGGGHGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we are waiting even LONGER! I am SO FRUSTRATED I could SCREAM!!! They could have been back in Guatemala by now and they just sent them to Phoenix today...grrrrr... I am now planning to fly up to spend time with my dear mother and daughter in Salt Lake City. We must go SHOPPING... Hopefully in a few weeks we will know SOMETHING......

KICK-OUT
I just got off the phone with our co-ordinator. Our case has been kicked out of PGN for a typo on our homestudy. Now I have to try to get a hold of our local social worker to send an addendum, get the addendum notarized, certified and authenticated, express it to Guatemala, and wait. This really sucks...

Entering week 8...
We are entering Onnolee's 8th week in PGN, and the average PGN stay is...8 weeks, so we are hoping hard that she will get out this week. Then she will be subject to the new "2nd DNA" testing to make sure she is still Onnolee...I hope she comes home soon!

BABIES!!!
Welcome to the Baby House! Jelly Bean gifted us with two gorgeous kittens in May...
This is "Minky", black and white fuzzball.
And this is "Stinky", who looks to be a curly-haired kitten like her father "Felix".
This is "Bubba", our baby boy, with Kory.
Here's Kory again, with our little merle girl, who is the only one with two blue eyes.
And finally, our little "half-and-half" female, cute with her black ear and tippy tail. "Bubba" looks on...
On Memorial Day, Nuggy gave us these adorable puppies! Charlie is the proud papa...

PA and on the way...to PGN!
Life has been pretty hectic and stressful and I haven't had much time to think about posting. I finally got pics downloaded onto the laptop, and since I haven't posted even any pics from our trip to Guatemala last month, I figured I'd better get on and get busy.
The latest update is that last Monday we were granted preapproval for Onnolee's visa. This means that our case can move on to the next and biggest step, PGN. The record for our agency is 3 days in PGN, but it usually takes between 6 and 12 weeks. When we are out of PGN, Onnolee's birthmother will sign the adoption papers and she will officially be ours. 2 to 3 weeks after that we will be given a date for our appointment at the embassy and we can go pick her up!
Meanwhile, here in New Mexico it is very HOT!!! We are seeing why the previous owners of this house were so anxious to sell it... it has no air conditioning, just fans. Up until the past week or two it hasn't been too bad, but now that the temperature is creeping up to 100, it's definitely HOT around here. I am headed out tomorrow to buy some more fans!
Work has been stressful too. We just moved into the newly built "Pavilion" and now are a part of the main UNM Hospital, and we have been super busy and I have been very stressed as a result. Plus I am under pressure to work lots of overtime to save up money for the adoption, so more stress. I have been SO tired at home!
So...here are a few pics from our trip to Guatemala last month. Estuardo and I had a real blast! He was so cute with the baby! I think he will be a good big brother, as will the other kids who anxiously await her arrival...

Pretty Onnolee!
Back at home, soaking the feet in the cat's water dish...
