Self-training but...

My little man is using his potty chair all on his own very consistently during the day! BUT he refuses to wear anything on his bottom. No undies, no pull-ups. Has a major tantrum if I try to put some on. How do I get him to wear bottoms?

    LOL, I guess I wouldn't worry about it too much if I was home. At night I would just tell him he has to wear them to bed but can take them off when he wakes up in the morning. And if you have to go out, just tell him he has to keep his privates private, lol ;o) Good luck.

    Haha, when I was training Dan he never wore any bottoms in the house! It was a lot like having a puppy! LOL I think that unless you're worried he's going to walk down the aisle like that on his wedding day, go with the flow. I love potty training puns.

    My daughter wouldn't wear bottoms in the house for a long time either. She suddenly grew out of it when she saw a younger friend wearing "big girl panties". Perhaps making some special big boy pants and showing him some friends that are able to use the potty AND wear underwear might help. For a very long time though, my girl just refused, and we spent a lot of time teaching to little avail. When she was ready, she did it on her own.
